(1Ioan 1)

1) I see a struggle now within
Alive in my soul
As I’m dying to sin
I do the things that I hate
So I hate what I do
Who will deliver me?
But thanks be to God through Jesus Christ
For there is no condemnation at all.

2) This is the message we have heard
We have seen with our eyes
We have touched with our hands
The Word of life appeared
The Word became flesh
The Word dwelt among us
The Word of life
The God of light
And in Him there is no darkness at all.

3) If we claim to have fellowship with Him
Yet we walk in the dark
We live in a lie
If we claim to be without sin
We deceive ourselves
The Word is not within us
If we confess our sins and cry out to God
He will forgive and purify our human hearts
For those who are in Jesus Christ
He has given us of the Spirit of God.

Prolog

¹ Ceea ce era de la început, ce am auzit, ce am văzut cu ochii noștri, ce am privit și mâinile noastre au pipăit, cu privire la Cuvântul vieții, ² – căci viața s-a arătat: noi am văzut și dăm mărturie și vă vestim viața cea veșnică ce era la Tatăl și care ni s-a arătat – ³ ce am văzut și am auzit vă vestim și vouă pentru ca și voi să aveți comuniune cu noi, iar comuniunea noastră este cu Tatăl și cu Fiul său Isus Cristos. ⁴ Vă scriem acestea pentru ca bucuria noastră să fie deplină.

DUMNEZEU ESTE LUMINĂ

Viața în lumină

⁵ Și aceasta este vestea pe care am auzit-o de la el și v-o vestim: Dumnezeu este lumină și nu este întuneric în el. ⁶ Dacă spunem că avem comuniune cu el, dar umblăm în întuneric, mințim și nu înfăptuim adevărul. ⁷ Dar dacă umblăm în lumină, așa cum el este în lumină, avem comuniune unii cu alții și sângele lui Isus, Fiul său, ne curăță de orice păcat.

Prima condiție: mărturisirea păcatelor

⁸ Dacă spunem că nu avem păcat, ne înșelăm pe noi înșine, iar adevărul nu este în noi. ⁹ Dacă ne mărturisim păcatele, el este fidel și drept ca să ne ierte păcatele și să ne curețe de orice nedreptate. ¹⁰ Dacă spunem că nu am păcătuit, îl facem pe el mincinos, iar cuvântul lui nu este în noi.
